Incorporated in the design of The Turbine is a conference room and meeting rooms - all on the ground floor offering easy access for all. They are ideal for high level board meetings, training sessions, sales presentations, exhibitions and interviews, and provide a professional and confidential area to meet customers, suppliers, agents and other business contacts.
The conference room is equipped with state-of-the-art audio visual equipment and partitioned, movable, doors which will be particularly useful for exhibitions which may need to spill out into the foyer. The conference room and meeting rooms are available for hire by all.
Conference room
Flexible space ideal for meetings, presentations, seminars, conferences and exhibitions. Able to seat:
- Up to 60 people theatre-style
- Up to 20 people boardroom style
- Up to 30 people ‘U’ shape (tables and chairs)
Partitioning allows for extra space to be extended into the foyer (depending on time of day).
- Hire costs: £200 per day (£120 per half day; £50 up to two hours)
Hourly hire is available.

Meeting rooms
Spaces suitable for meetings, training sessions, seminars, presentations, exhibitions. Able to seat:
- Up to 8 people in the small meeting room
- Up to 20 people in various configurations in medium rooms
- Up to 60 people in theatre style in the larger rooms (subject to availability).
Hire costs: from £50 per day (£30 per half day), to £100 per day (£60 per half day) depending on size and availability.

The conference room is equipped with state-of-the-art audio visual equipment incorporating:
- Touch screen controls for lighting and AV equipment
- Back projection onto purpose-built screen
- Built in computer or connection for laptops
- Built in video and DVD player
- PA system.
A flip chart and overhead projector are also available. Use of this equipment is included in the hire charge of the conference room.
The meeting rooms do not have built-in audio visual equipment, but a flip chart, overhead projector and LCD projector can be provided (subject to availability).
Faxes - 25p each + VAT
Photocopying - 5p per copy + VAT
Lamination - £1 per item + VAT
Catering and refreshments can be provided by the Turbine's in-house cafe, The Wilduck Kitchen. Cold finger buffets and hot fork buffets can be served together with refreshments as required. Alternatively for smaller meetings, delegates are welcome to dine in the cafe and purchase refreshments directly as required.
Generous, and free, car parking at the rear of the Turbine with limited visitor parking on the frontage is available. CCTV security covers the car parks, the front and rear of the building as well as internally.
