The Partnership
The Turbine was established in 2005 to provide state of the art, cost effective, business accommodation in an area which was lacking suitable office and workshop space for new or early years innovative businesses. These businesses provide quality employment opportunities.
Public sector partners led by Nottinghamshire County Council funded the development.

| Alliance Sub–Regional Strategic Partnership The Alliance Sub-regional strategic partnership (Alliance SSP) is a team of experienced and passionate local people, united by a single-minded commitment to increase the prosperity of individuals, businesses and communities in north Derbyshire and north Nottinghamshire. One of seven sub-regional strategic partnerships (SSPs) across the East Midlands, the Alliance SSP is responsible for ensuring that emda's regional economic development plans are delivered in the context of the specific challenges affecting those that live, work and do business in the communities of Chesterfield, Mansfield, Worksop, Newark and their surround towns and villages.
